Capture a Pikachu: Like the initial games, when you start playing Pokemon Go, you can select one of three Pokemon as your first companion: Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle. But there is a hidden fourth choice, too: Pikachu. To get a Pikachu, you merely need a little patience. You must disregard the first three Pokemon presented to you by Professor Willow and simply walk away. The three Pokemon will follow you around for a bit after which evaporate before reappearing. Do this four times, and a Pikachu will eventually show up. Then you catch it. Catching Pikachu doesn't seem to have a tactical advantage since you will probably encounter stronger ones later on, but why miss an opportunity to hang out from the outset?

There are tons of articles out there already about gameplay and how the AR functions, etc., etc. And there are probably lots of local stores shooting queries up the chain about what the heck all these people are doing standing in their own parking lot looking at their phones. But what does Pokemon Go mean for retailers?

I have got two angles: The immediate issue of whether all these individuals will mean anything to them, and the bigger issue of what makes Pokemon Go so compelling, and what retailers can learn from that for their customer engagement.

In spite of crippling server issues and ghastly discoveries, Pokemon Go has soared to the top of app graphs, added billions to the market value of Nintendo, and sold millions of dollars of Pokeballs and other virtual goods, as individuals engage in nostalgia for the original Pokemon games and find the joys of playing games in public.

A very useful thing for leveling up is the Lucky Egg. Using an egg sets off a 30-minute timer, during which you will gain double experience points. Be sure to use this wisely by consulting the table above to see which high-XP jobs you'll be able to complete in that 30-minute window. You might time a Lucky Egg with several Pokemon developments, or alongside a bait that sends tons of Pokemon your method, to get the most bang for your buck.

Pokemon Go is a little different from earlier games in the series because the Pokemon trainer---the small character you make at the start of the game---gains experience points to raise his or her amount. In the first games, each Pokemon has its experience points and amount, but not so in Go.

Throw a curve ball: Curveballs aren't just fashionable, they also increase a player's skill points if the technique results in a capture. To initiate a curve ball, move your finger in small circles on the display while touching the ball after which toss it. It's still unclear if curveballs increase the odds of catching a Pokemon, though they do give you an XP bonus. Some players say that is true, while some report it's tougher.

How to throw a Pokball: Unlike the original games, you don't battle wild Pokemon in Go. Instead, you leap straight to catching them, which simply means flicking a Pokball on your telephone display at a Pokemon. Throw it too close or too much, and the Pokball won't do anything. You have to get it just right by really reaching the Pokemon. When you press on a Pokball, a ring shows up around the Pokemon. A green ring means the Pokemon is simple to catch, while a red one means it's tougher to catch. Your odds are enhanced, particularly for harder-to-catch Pokemon, if the ring is smaller when you release the Pokball.

And then, as we were walking out of the park, we were met by a man, telephone out, who saw our phones and immediately demanded to know if we were Red Team or Blue Team (the local gym is now owned by Red Team). We replied Red, to which he nodded his head. "Good." I was relieved -- for a second the entire AR thing seemed like it might've headed in a too-real direction if we had replied the wrong color.

Find nearby Pokemon: To see what Pokemon are lurking nearby, have a look at the bottom-right corner of your display. The fewer footprints there are, the closer the Pokemon is. The Pokemon in this menu is, in addition, sorted by the space.

I capped off my in-depth experience with a trip to the local mall (Park Meadows in Lonetree, CO), where I figure about a third of the foot traffic in that mall on a sleepy Monday afternoon was Pokemon Go traffic. Yeah, third. And hey! I am a level 6 now!

Well, there may be no guide to real life, but here is a guide to Pokemon Go.

One Blessed Egg is given at level 9, and others at following amounts. Lucky Eggs may also be bought at the shop with PokeCoins.

The game is deceptively complicated. In the beginning, it looks like all you do is wander about, catching arbitrary fake creatures. But unlike many mobile games, Pokemon Go leaves most of its sophistication unexplained. Much like in life itself, you are dropped into the world that you need to master at the same time as you figure out how it works.

There are some means for your trainer to get XP. Each amount’s complete XP demand corresponds to the degree number, so at 1000 XP, you end degree one and go onto degree two, subsequently 2000 XP afterwards, you move onto level three which needs 3000 XP before you can hit level four and so on. There is no means to battle in gymnasiums — the places on your map with the huge Pokémon GO PokéStop in Gregadoo NSW 2650 hovering over them, that look like some futuristic cone — without getting to degree five. So, how 's better to get there quickly? Wiretap on every PokéStop you can. They've things in them, when they are blue, and you get a bit of experience, which helps a ton in the early goings out. You can return to Pokéstops over and over, and they flip over fairly quickly (about five minutes as far as we can tell). As you walk around, you may believe your phone vibrate. That means a Pokémon is not far! Pat it, swipe to throw a Poké Ball at it, and it's yours. You will get lots of encounter for doing this, so do it as often as possible.
