Each battle you win at a gym gives you XP, which becomes increasingly tight as you catch all of the most common Pokemon. Additionally, for each Pokemon you have stored in a gym, you'll receive 500 Stardust and 10 PokeCoins once every 24 hours. Besides using actual cash, this is apparently the only way in the game to earn PokeCoins.

In Pokemon Go, conflicts just occur at gyms. If you are challenging an enemy gym, you can choose a squad of six Pokemon that will be sent out in turn.
If you happen to be in the "what's a Pokemon" phase of your investigation, we have made an additional guide: Six Pokemon Go suggestions for the ultimate beginner. Read that, then come back here!
You certainly can! (To whoever already chose the name "Allegra," we've got our eye on you.) Naming apart, there are several skin tones, hair colors, and outfits to choose from. The choice is marginally less varied than what's obtainable in Pokemon X and Y, for reference.
We are still in the early phases of Pokemon Go knowledge. There are many unanswered questions, such as, "Does throwing a whirling Pokball increase the chances of a successful capture?" But this guide will be enough to give you an advantage over your friends and neighbors.
You can also help fortify gyms belonging to your team by training and testing your Pokemon there. A gym gets stature for each battle it wins, even if it is a player of its team. So you could battle against friendly Pokemon repeatedly until your gym gains another level, that will then open up another defensive spot, and let you contribute one of your Pokemon to the gym's fortification. Keep in mind that whichever Pokemon you leave behind will not be accessible for anything else unless it gets kicked out of the gym by an enemy team.
Swap for sorts: Swapping out a Pokemon leaves it vulnerable to attack for several seconds, so you may be reluctant to do it. But if you're able to swap for a type mismatch, like bringing out a Water Pokemon against a Fire enemy, it'll be worth it so long as their CPs are close.
Do not let the Pokemon you need to leave at the gym pass out: If you successfully take a gym, you won't be able to leave behind a fainted Pokemon to defend it. So make sure your favorite choice survives the battle.
Special moves aren't always great: It's tempting to use the specific move when it's charged, but if it is a large one, it might be best to wait until it can be used as a finishing blow. Because the special move will leave you static and unable to dodge, and may have a cooldown time, shooting it will open you up to a frenzy of attacks. Also, be sure to take advantage by relentlessly attacking your enemies when they can be charging up a special.
Understand your enemy: As we described in the types section, an important theory in Pokemon is understanding the strengths and weaknesses of your adversary. Before going into battle, make sure you assess your enemy's type and use or train Pokemon that's sort advantages over the opposing team.
The gym system is somewhat complicated, and you might be wondering why you should be bothering with it in any way. There are two principal advantages of interacting with gyms: experience and bonus things.
There are two choices for logging into Pokemon Go. The easier method would be to use an existing Google account. Otherwise, players can either sign in with or sign up for a Pokemon Trainer Club account, which comes with additional privileges. These include a subscription to a monthly newsletter, which sometimes offers download codes for rare Pokemon.
Long reply: Once your trainer has a name, Professor Willow --- this game's leading Pokemon scholar --- will walk you through catching Pokemon. He does not outright give you a starter, rather directing you to the open map around you, where a Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle appear out of nowhere. Trainers can pick which of the three they would like to get and, at the ending of the world's easiest battle, whoever they decided will now be theirs.
You do not have to go it alone: You can join up with other members of your team when battling to take over enemy gyms.
Practice dodging: In your first battles, you'll probably just tap furiously away at the attack buttons, and this is probably a decent strategy if your Pokemon has a substantially higher CP than its rival. But to win close battles or conflicts where you are the underdog, you will need to get great at dodging, particularly at dodging big special assaults.
There are some methods for your trainer to make XP. Each degree’s full XP requirement corresponds to the level number, so at 1000 XP, you conclude level one and go onto level two, then 2000 XP later, you move onto level three which needs 3000 XP before you can reach degree four and so on. There is no means to battle in fitness centers — the places on your map with the enormous Pokémon GO PokéStop in Milton QLD 4064 hovering over them, that look like some futuristic cone — without getting to level five. How 's best to get there fast? Tap on every PokéStop you can. When they're blue, they've items in them, and you get a little bit of expertise, which helps out a ton in the early goings. You can return to Pokéstops over and over, and they flip over pretty fast (about five minutes as far as we can tell). You may believe your telephone vibrate as you walk around. That means a Pokémon is close! Tap it, swipe to throw a Poké Ball at it, and it's yours. You will get a lot of encounter for doing this, so do it as often as possible.
