Programmer Niantic has stopped Pokemon Go's UK release while it irons out server problems because of high demand. It is challenging to see Pokemon Go's bait mechanic shifting in the short-term, although one possibility would be to make its effect applicable to the user merely, to nullify any potential safety issues.
